Georgetown County Farm Bureau Scholarship
The Georgetown County Farm Bureau offers scholarships manually to graduating high school seniors in Georgetown County School District who meet the following criteria:
The student has been accepted and plans to attend agriculture or agriculture related program of study in post-secondary school.  The immediate family(parent/guardian) holds membership in good standing in Georgetown County Farm Bureau. The scholarship amount is $500,00 one-time award. Applications available at the Georgetown County Farm Bureau Office or AHS Guidance Office.


16th Annual Josie K. Claiborne Memorial Scholarship
Minority students of South Carolina majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. High School Seniors attending college/university in fall of 2020 B Average or Higher.  Scholarship Amount:$350 to $3500

SC Wins Scholarship

Tidelands Trophy Club Scholarship Contest
Tidelands Ford Lincoln in Pawleys Island is excited to announce it’s Tidelands Trophy Club Scholarship Contest. They want to celebrate the best high school seniors in Horry and Georgetown County and help them with future educational expenses. Applicants must submit application online. 1st place winner will receive $5,000, 2nd place winner will receive $3,000 and 3rd place winner will receive $2,000. James F. Byrnes Scholarship
The James F. Byrnes Scholarship Program is offering a scholarship of $4,500 to a deserving high school senior. This scholarship is renewed annually contingent upon the recipient’s maintenance of satisfactory academic standing, need for financial assistance, and participation in Byrnes Scholar activities.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must have one or both parents deceased.
• Applicant must be a South Carolina resident and United States citizen.
• Applicant must plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited 4-year college/university.
• Applicant must have a satisfactory academic record.
• Applicant must have received SAT/ACT scores.
• Applicant must demonstrate excellence in character, ability and enterprise to indicate that the student will make worthwhile contributions to society.
• Applicant must have need for financial assistance in order to attend college.

SC Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Journalism Contest
The winner of the 2020 Journalism Contest receives a four-year scholarship to the South Carolina state-supported institution of his or her choice. This year’s journalism contest topic is “The Right Talent, Right Now.” Applicants must be between the ages of 16-19 and a senior in high school. You do not have to have a disability to enter. South Carolina Federal Credit Union Scholarship
South Carolina Federal Credit Union is offering $2,500 -$12,000 scholarships to deserving high school students. Applicants must write a short essay (500 words or less) on the following topic: How do you plan on using your education to Do More for Others?
Eligibility Requirements:
• Members of South Carolina Federal in good standing or US residents who are eligible to apply for membership at South Carolina Federal at time of scholarship application
• Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and in good standing with current school
• Students planning to attend a specialized/technical college/university on a part-time or full-time basis, or a traditional college/university on a full-time basis, in South Carolina for the fall 2020 semester.

The Silver Pen

The Lakes at Litchfield retirement community will offer a one-time scholarship to a deserving high school senior. First place winner will receive $2,500. Second place winner will receive $750 and third place winner will receive $500.

• Applicant must be a high school senior living within or attending a school within 25 miles of The Lakes at Litchfield.

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)
The Daughters of the American Revolution offer a variety of scholarships to deserving high school seniors. For more information, please stop by the guidance office. You may also visit their website at https://dar.academicworks.com. Deadline to apply is February 15, 2020.

SCLEOF Scholarship
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Foundation (SCLEOF) will offer $7,000 in scholarships to 3 deserving high school seniors.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a high school senior in South Carolina.
• The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the applicant must have been a legal resident of South Carolina for at least one year.
• Applicant must attend a college, university or technical school in South Carolina.
• Applicant must be of good moral character and reputation.
• Applicant must write an essay.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union, Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HTC)
The Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HTC) have partnered to offer two scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, and southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to rising college freshman seeking a four-year degree from Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University. The scholarship may be renewed for three consecutive years in the amount of $500 per year as long as the recipient meets certain criteria.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.
• Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Applicant must be accepted by and plan to attend either Coastal Carolina University (CCU) or Francis Marion University (FMU) for at least four years.
• Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 college credit hours (full-time status) at either CCU or FMU.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Centennial Scholarship
The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will be offering a scholarship to a deserving senior female. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need to apply. For more information and to pick up an application, please stop by the guidance office. Deadline to apply is February 28, 2020.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship
The Marine Corps offer scholarships to children of Marine Corp or US Navy Corpsman who plan to attend a post-secondary education at any accredited school (Career Training or Trade School, Community College, or Four-year University). Yawkey Scholarship
The Yawkey Foundation is offering a four-year renewable scholarship to cover tuition and fees to a deserving high school senior. This is a great opportunity for graduating high school students from Georgetown County, SC entering college in South Carolina in 2020-21.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a US citizen and a permanent resident of Georgetown County, South Carolina.
• Applicant must be from a low-income family with unmet financial need. All applicants must submit a copy of pages one and two of the parent(s)’ or guardian(s)’ most recent IRS form 1040 and a copy of the SAR.
• Applicant must be engaged in a meaningful, sustained mentoring program or ongoing relationship with an adult role model.
• Applicant must be a current senior at an accredited high school in South Carolina.
• Applicant must be accepted to and plan to attend a public or private four-year college or university in South Carolina beginning in the Fall 2020.
• Applicant must have strong academic record or demonstrate a significant improvement over time.
• Applicant must be involved in a balance of community, school, and work activities.

Tidelands Community Hospice/Mary Atmar Johnson Scholarship
Tidelands Community Hospice is offering four (4) $1,000 scholarships annually to deserving students who are planning to pursue a degree in the field of Social Work or Nursing. Applicants must reside in one of the counties (Georgetown, Horry, Williamsburg) served by Tidelands Community Hospice. 2020 Georgetown Kraft Credit Union Scholarship
Georgetown Kraft Credit Union will award $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school seniors that display exemplary character, work ethic and strong educational goals.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be graduating high school in Georgetown or Williamsburg County.
• Applicant must be an active GKCU member or child/relative of GKCU member.
• Applicant must be planning to enroll at least a minimum of 12 hours of credit per semester at their post-secondary institution.

Daughters of the American Revolution Winyah Chapter Scholarship
The Winyah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is proud to offer our college scholarship to exemplary high school students this year. Applicants must write a statement of 1,000 words or less one of the following topics:
1. The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
2. Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

SC Soil and Water Conservation Society Scholarship
The SC Soil and Water Conservation Society are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior. Applicants must be a resident of South Carolina and plan on studying in the fields of conservation and natural resources. For more information and to pick up an application, please stop by the guidance office. All applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2020.

The South Carolina Education Association-Retired Scholarship
The South Carolina Education Association-Retired Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior. This scholarship is awarded annually and is designed to encourage promising young people to prepare careers in education at an accredited four-year college in South Carolina.
Eligibility Requirements:
• The applicant must be a senior graduating from a public high school in South Carolina.
• The applicant must plan to attend a SACS accredited four-year college, university, or an accredited two-year college within the state of South Carolina as a full-time student.
• The applicant must plan for and pursue a career in education.
• The applicant must have maintained a good high school academic record and maintain a 3.0 grade point ratio while attending a college.
• The applicant must demonstrate leadership abilities.
• The applicant must need financial assistance.

Bobby Chapman Scholarship
The Bobby Chapman Scholarship is a $1,500 annually scholarship given to a deserving high school senior in the Southeastern United States and/or participate in a prior Bobby Chapman Invitational.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must plan to be a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
• Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Suzannah Blackwell Memorial Scholarship
The Carolina Tesol is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving high school ESOL senior in the memory of Suzannah Blackwell. Ms. Blackwell was an educator who tirelessly devoted her life for the education of ESOL students. For more information and to apply, please visit their website at https://goo.gl/pWLTH1. Graphic Communication Scholarships
The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation is offering up to $5,000 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in either the fields of Graphic Communications, Technology, or Management. Thomas W. Jones Memorial Scholarship
The Thomas W. Jones Memorial Scholarship is a renewable scholarship and eligible seniors may apply. Applicants must plan to major in an engineering field and plan on attending the University of South Carolina School of Engineering. SEC Scholarship
Santee Electric Cooperative will award a $500 scholarship to a Georgetown High School senior. Applicants must be a senior and have a parent or guardian who is a member-owner of Santee Electric Cooperative. For more information and to pick up an application, please stop by the guidance office. All applications must be returned to the guidance office by Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

Howard High School Alumni Association Scholarship
The Howard High School Alumni Association is offering its annual scholarship to a deserving high school senior.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a descendant of a Howard High School from its beginning through its closing in 1984. Written proof of lineage is required (Report Card, High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, or other legal documentation).
• *Applicant must demonstrate in writing, financial need, educational goals, and extracurricular school/community services as well as any other information he/she feels relevant to be considered as a candidate for this scholarship.
• Applicant must have a C or higher GPA and submit a copy of transcript with application.
• Applicant must state the name of the college or university he/she plans to attend.

Winyah High School Alumni Scholarship
The Winyah High School Alumni Association is offering a scholarship to a deserving high school senior. Applicant must be a direct descendant (parent or grandparent) of an individual who attended Winyah High School. Applicant must also have a 2.0 or higher GPA in order to apply. NABSTMC Scholarship
The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club, Inc. is offering scholarships to deserving high school seniors. For More information and to pick up an application, please see guidance. All applications must be received in their office by May 15, 2020.

PB&J
The PB&J scholarship is focused on helping students whose test scores or GPA might not be the best, but have the drive to succeed. This scholarship amount ranges from $500-$1,000. Console and Associates Legal Scholarship
